Little adventures in the Lore Lands.

Three friends. Three new places. A little wonder in every step.

A little courage

The Lantern Garden

Blue Toby, Taboshi, and Patience together on a garden bridge beneath a purple blossom tree and glowing golden lanterns, with floating islands beyond.

High above the clouds, the garden was turning purple and gold. Little lanterns glowed beneath a tree full of blossoms.

Blue Toby stopped before the bridge. “It looks different now,” he said. “Will you walk beside me?”

“Of course,” said Taboshi. “Look! We can still see the flowers by the path.”

“We can take our time,” said Patience. The three friends crossed the little bridge together.

On the other side, Toby looked up at a lantern. “I’m glad I asked,” he said. There was room for all three beneath its warm light.

A little kindness

One Kind Step

Blue Toby on a round stepping stone with green leaf Taboshi and red triangle Patience close behind, on a floating forest island with a small sprout and a glowing blue crystal underneath.

The leafy path curled through the floating forest. Blue Toby stepped onto a smooth round stone. Then another. There was so much to see!

“Toby, wait a moment!” called Taboshi. Beside the path, a tiny sprout had opened two green leaves.

Toby looked back. His friends had stopped to admire it. He could hurry ahead—or come and see what they had found.

He stepped back beside them. “Hello, little leaves,” he whispered.

When they were ready, the friends set off together. This time, Toby looked back after each little step. The path felt even better with everyone along.

A little discovery

The Pond of Three Little Stumps

Blue Toby, Taboshi, and Patience on the grassy bank of a blue pond with exactly three wooden stumps, pink lotus flowers, red bridges, and garden pavilions; a red crystal sits below the floating island.

“One, two, three!” said Blue Toby. Three little wooden stumps stood in the blue pond. The friends sat on the grassy bank to look.

“I see pink flowers,” said Taboshi.

“I see little circles in the water,” said Patience. A gentle ripple spread around a stump.

Toby leaned closer to his friends. “I see a fish!” They watched a bright little shape slip past a lily pad.

It was the same pond, but each friend had noticed something different. “Let’s tell each other one more thing,” said Toby. And their little afternoon filled with discoveries.

For grown-ups: these imagined adventures
